Burning tankers en route to Afghanistan

Pictures posted by a member calling himself “Acer 007” show a burning fuel tanker in what “Acer 007” claims to be Jalalabad. Suggesting that the tanker subtly – without any reference or note – was most likely en route to supply NATO troops in Afghanistan. The pictures, some of which are shown here, suggest the helplessness of security personnel who seem to be standing by idle. The jihadist notion of attacking oil tankers, networks, pipelines and by all means oil sites has had a great propagandistic impact when AQAP unsuccessfully attempted to attack the Saudi Abqaiq (or Baqiq) facilities in 2004 and when a similar operation was undertaken in Hadramawt, Yemen. The ideological implications are clear and often in its basic practical definitions repeated, such as by Nasir al-Wahhayshi, the leader of the Yemeni AQ branch. The strategic need for jihadists to attack oil related and relevant sites are taken from the understanding that enemy forces, occupying Islamic territories, are pillaging Islamic oil and gas resources and are using these elements bestowed by God upon the Muslims against the innocent Muslim populations worldwide. Al-Wahhaishi called on to continue any effort to undertake operations against the oil industry in Yemen, to harm both the government and the military-industrial complex of the West – to safeguard Muslims and to protect the Islamic resources.

Whenever such pictures are shown in the forums, blogs, websites,…, the general notion, in some parts highly ideological, should be kept in mind. “Acer 007” placed the pictures under the banner “The Hell of the Romans and Apostates in Jalalabad – Present to the People of Tawhid ~ Afghanistan ~ new pictures”.

 

The “Hell of the Romans and Apostates” had once been limited to al-Furqan productions in Iraq, but as it is these times, everything swaps into a more comprising and global mindset.

 

Finally back after long break – back for good, this time

First of all thanks to all the visitors and all the comments. The blog had been virtually and literally shut down since May 2009 and despite the announcement to resume regular updates, the blog remained shut down.

The good news are that onlinejihad.wordpress will resume more or less regular updates, mostly consisting of quick contributions and in parts more comprising pieces. The past months of online jihad had been keeping me quite busy – the comprising writings, statements and videos have increased in recent months and some of the findings may be published here on this blog.

AQIM demands Abu Qatada release, threatens execution of hostage

According to an unofficial statement released in the forums, the release of Abu Qatada al-Filastini from UK prison is demanded by AQIM; otherwise Edwen Dyer, one of the abducted tourists, will be beheaded. Here is the translated posting, which is not an official one and which is allegedly by Abu Muhammad al-‘Uthmani, a “soldier of AQIM to the British dogs and their apes”:

AQIM issues statement, claims to have kidnapped the missing European tourists

First a Youtube audio message surfaced, then some hours later a ‘proper’ statement was issued. Here is a translation:

“During a time, where the evil of the Jews, Christians and apostates has allied with one another, they attack Islam and its people on every territory.

In a time in which the sons of France, the servants of the Americans, cooperate and support them in the tasks of [fabricating] lies against the mujahidin, thus a joyful message is sent by us to the Muslim umma – the success of the Mujahidin in realizing two different operations, within the territory of Nigeria.

The first operation: The Muj had been able, since two months, to hold two renowned Canadian diplomats kidnapped. The first one is Robert Fuller, former ambassador and special envoy in Niger, the second one is Lewis Guay, former ambassador in Gabon.

The second operation: On 22 January the Mujahidin were able to kidnap four European tourists, in Nigeria:

Edwyn Dyer, British; Marianne Petzold, German; Werner Greiner and Gabriella Burco Greiner, Swiss.”

The statement then goes on to claim that the hostages will be treated according to sharia law and Islam – and that the fight for the umma and the Muslims, against the tyrants, will continue. It is signed by the “Media Council of AQIM, 18.02.2009.” Pictures follow:

As-Sahab Video shows attacks in Peshawar, Pakistan

The categories of this non-regularly updated blog must be refashioned… as as-Sahab is of course al-Qaeda’s media wing on a global scale, even if it may (at least great parts) be based in Afghanistan/Pakistan.

This is just a quick information that the attacks in Peshawar, Pakistan, directed against the US resupply lines for Afghanistan has been “made” into another as-Sahab jihad video that was released today. Al-Yazid, as seen in the banner, seems to be directing the ideological justifications for the hit and run attack against Western and American compounds in Peshawar, from which the troops are being supplied. Supply lines are naturally a target of great interest. The Taliban and others have been publishing various video material over the course of years online, showing their successes at attacking, pillaging and / or destroying supply trucks in particular that are transporting goods in general (perhaps?) throughout Afghanistan.

There will be an update on both videos by early next week – times are busy.

New as-Sahab message to Germany

Today a new as-Sahab video was made public, entitled “Rettungspaket fuer Deutschland”, (Rescue Package for Germany), probably given in form of a khutba by the as-Sahab speaker Abu Talha the German. The Arabic title “khattat al-inqaz li-l-Almani” however means “Plan of Salvation for the German(s)”, but we shall see what the video will be like, so there will be an update sometime soon.

Bin Laden issues speech “Call for Jihad to End the Hostilities in Gaza”

This speech went online today and shows a still of UBL in front of the al-Aqsa Mosque with his message being read (yeah, does sound like him indeed) – in his message to “the Islamic umma” he gives the usual history lessons regarding the conditions of the Arab states and compares post-colonial times to now with the world turning their face away from Gaza and Muslims.

Persevere in patience and constancy and stand fast over the path of Jihad, and the whole muslim nation with you, and I assure you that we will not settle down till we take revenge for every killed, injured, widow and orphan in Palestine and in all the muslim lands by Allah’s might. We –by Allah’s grace- are still keen to achieve the oath of sheikh Ousama Bin Laden may Allah protect him when he said : (I swear by Allah the Almighty who lifted the skies without pillars, America and who lives in America will not dream of security until we see it a reality in Palestine and till all the infidel armies get out from the muslims lands). We hope to be able one day to get to help you to liberate Jerusalem and al Aqsa mosque, and to raise the banner of Islam and Jihad over its land.

My muslim and Mujahed brothers in Gaza and the rest of Palestine; what you are facing today is not an occupation trial, limited within an area or a specific country, it is a part in the series of the Zionist-Crusader campaign on the muslim nation, and these raids are a gift for you from Obama before he takes his post, and Hosni Mubarak the traitor is the main partner in besieging and killing you. The second message is directed to Muslims in Egypt, to them I say; It is your duty to lift the siege, you must take this responsibility, for if you arranged a campaign of protests, strikes and demonstrations which do not rest until the siege on Gaza Unwinds, the traitor Hosni Mubarak must yield.

Do you fall short of arranging a campaign of strikes, where the students abstain from going to schools, workers and officers abstain from their work, in order to save our brothers in Gaza from the clutches of the criminal traitor Hosni Mubarak?

And I say to the ardent ones in the Egyptian army; you have a good example in Suleiman Khater may Allah grant his soul mercy, the criminal traitor Hosni Mubarak is using you as a tool to betray your religion and besiege your brothers in Gaza and close all the outlets in front of them, in order to help the Israeli aircrafts to achieve their crimes against them. Till when will you remain soldiers for Satan?! And when will you be Allah’s and His prophet’s soldiers?!

Allah Almighty says : [O you who believe! Be you helpers (in the Cause) of Allâh as said ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), to the Hawâriyyûn (the disciples): “Who are my helpers (in the Cause) of Allâh?” The Hawâriyyûn (the disciples) said: “We are Allâh’s helpers” (i.e. we will strive in His Cause!). Then a group of the Children of Israel believed and a group disbelieved. So We gave power to those who believed against their enemies, and they became the victorious (uppermost).] (61:14).

I say to the proud tribes of Sinai: Today is your day, provide your brothers in Islam and kinship with all what they need of provisions and equipments, from the loaf of bread to the tank mine. The traitor Egyptian regime which had assaulted your dignity, honor and sanctities, is the same regime that is besieging your brothers in Islam and kinship in Gaza and colludes with Jews to killing them. Fear Allah regarding your brothers in Gaza, break the siege of the traitor regime on them, know that Allah will ask you about what you have done to help them, so prepare an answer of good deed.

The prophet (peace be upon him) said : (A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him nor hands him to his enemy, and who comes to the help of his brother, Allah will come to the help of him, and who dispel a calamity from his brother, Allah will dispel a calamity of him in the day of judgment, and who conceals the wrongs of his brother, Allah will conceal his wrongs in the day of judgment).

And he said (peace be upon him) : (do not spy on one another; do not look for other’s faults; do not be jealous of one another; do not envy one another; do not hate one another; and do not desert (shun) one another. And O servants of Allah! Be brothers. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor humiliates him nor looks down upon him. The piety is here, (and while saying so) he pointed towards his chest thrice. All of the Muslim is sacred to the Muslim, his wealth, honor and his blood. It is evil enough for someone to belittle his Muslim brother.)

My third message is directed to Muslims everywhere, to them I say; This is Obama who was presented to the world by the American lying machine as the savior who will go in change of the American policy, here he is killing your brothers and sisters in Gaza without mercy.

I say to the angry Muslim masses who went out to protest across the Muslim world; Protests are not enough to face bombs, let our Islamic anger to make an influential action that will shake the pillars of the crusader-Zionistic alliance by Allah’s might

.So O Muslims everywhere, obey Allah and do Jihad obligation, Allah says : [O you who believe! Answer Allâh (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (peace be upon him) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allâh comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people), and know that Allâh is Severe in punishment.] (8:24-25).

O Muslims everywhere, fight the crusader-Zionistic campaign and strike its interests everywhere you can reach, help and support your Mujahed sons and brothers in its confrontation.
